Article Review of The Impact of Change and Change Management in Achieving Corporate Goals and Objectives: Organizational Perspective

Dr. Revenio C. Jalagat, Jr published an article titled The Impact of Change and Change Management in Achieving Corporate Goals and Objectives: Organizational Perspective in 2016 in the International Journal of Science and Research. This article was presented to Al-Zahra College for Women, Managerial and Financial Services Department, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. In truth, change is inevitable, as Dr. Revenio aptly captures in this journal article. Change is nowadays a norm even in the corporate setting (Jalagat, 2016). Change is unavoidable whenever it occurs, and organizations must deploy various strategies to adapt, without which they can lag and fail to make a meaningful impact. The author attempts to evaluate change management's impact in realizing corporate goals alongside objectives as per an organization’s perspective. The article critically touches on some crucial topics, including the consequences of change, forms of change, the application of change and their models, and how to effectively change management.

While penning this article, Dr. Revenio addressed key concerns regarding the change. First is the change typology. Here, the author addresses multiple forms of change, including smooth incremental change, bumpy incremental change, and discontinuous change. In addition, he discusses the types of organizational change such as organization-wide versus subsystem change, transformational versus incremental change, remedial versus developmental change, and the planned versus unplanned change (Jalagat, 2016).
