Planning Service and Manufacturing
In this age of modernity, technology is a vital tool in any organization’s production. However, it is essential to consider several factors before the acquisition of technology. Before an organization settles for a particular technology, there is need to understand how a certain technology can meet the current needs. This includes understanding the features, userfriendliness, and security. Further, there is need to understand the flexibility, interoperability, innovation, and ecosystem. After considering these factors, itt is also essential to understand the costs, including initial investment, maintenance, and license costs.
Smitheford Pharmaceuticals should consider the impact of technology on the level of production. The question of whether technology solves the problem of sales should be answered. Therefore, the technology should be able to improve the quality of their products or services. Furthermore, this new technology should help the company to satisfy its customers’ needs (“10 Criteria to Evaluate When Choosing a New Technology”, 2020). This technology should increase the level of production and eventually, sales. Smitheford Pharmaceuticals could increase their profit margins and service delivery if the technology is flexible enough to satisfy the company’s needs. The technology should also be able to increase the speed of production.
Smitheford could aim at technology with a simple architectural design to simplify the company’s operations by eliminating complex processes. Furthermore, the technology should have multi-tasking capabilities to save on time spent on performing a single task. The business environment should also be considered when adopting new technology.
