Overview

Strategic planning involves processes of action research and establishing a business model to improve profitability. Coca-Cola Company is one of the best organizations that apply powerful strategies in marketing and management. Coca-Cola has been able to create a brand name around the world from selling soft drinks. One of the company’s competitive advantage is its secret formula. Several companies have tried to compete with this product, but Coca-Cola continues to stand out among several new companies. Their marketing strategy is admirable since they have been able to gain massive popularity over the years. Coca-Cola Company supports community programmes and sponsors several events around the globe. Their involvement in community projects replicates their sales, and they hence remain to be a household name.

The company’s management has the best product advertisements, and they are consistent in making sure that their customers remember that they exist. Coca-Cola has focused on rebranding as their primary strategy to stay relevant. The company reduces prices, rebrands the packages and introduces new related products more often with different themes. The company also organizes events and forums that involve supporting the entertainment industry, and most customers are attracted to it because of its association with fun. Therefore, the Coca-Cola Company’s strategies are conspicuously clear and focused.

In contrast, Companies such as Pepsi have failed to improve and implement their strategies. Pepsi Company once had the same marketing opportunity as Coca-Cola, but they failed to involve the community in their affairs.
