Social Media as a Marketing Resource
The business climate is rapidly evolving, and companies operate globally, serving consumers with different needs and values. Notably, the level of knowledge interest varies across organizations and depends on adopted marketing approaches and philosophy. Businesses must consider factors like market attractiveness, risks, and prospects during the development of strategies (Tuten, 2019). Social media is one of the resources I use to gather information about the marketing environment and consumer trends. It is a cost-effective and flexible resource for reaching potential customers.
I found social media a useful marketing research tool when a business coach explained its usefulness. Although it has several uses, social media assists people in understanding market metrics and demographics (Heggde & Shainesh, 2018). I mostly use Facebook to interact with customers and understand their preferences. The Facebook comment section is useful in exchanging information and getting feedback about products and services. The Facebook advanced analytics tool effectively highlights common topics or issues discussed by the targeted audience. Facebook also has an elaborate system to monitor advertisement conversions to establish the most effective promotions.
Facebook is valuable because of its unique ability to connect with a broader audience. It has functionalities to analyze market trends, customer behaviors, and perceptions. These are important factors that inform decision-making within businesses. Facebook can increase web traffic, which makes business websites rank higher in search engines. Accessing Facebook never requires any technical abilities.
