In the fifth self-assessment about personal attributes, I learned about the importance of the BIG Five personality traits. Based on the result of the assessment, the main qualities are quiet, warm, responsible, and moody employee. However, I exhibited lower levels of confidence and openness. Moody, quiet, and offensive are good personality traits, but might never be useful in the work environment. When you consider two individuals with equal qualifications or abilities, the one showcasing higher levels of openness gathers more attention. Additionally, openness usually further enhances an individual's sociability, giving them a better personal image.
The BIG five personality traits are consistent with the three dimensions of career competencies. They are all highly related and usually determine an individual's success in a particular career. In order to improve this, I would enter more social groups, making more friends, as well as cultivate openness on issues I experience as an individual. The reading and assessments assisted me in discovering the weaknesses in my personality. Notably, excellent communication is one of the essential skills that I must cultivate and develop. This is because excellent communication skills not only help in improving social networking abilities, but also helps to improve how someone talks to with customers, colleagues, and family members.
I also realized, to become a successful business consultant and data analyzer, keeping track of the essential professional skills is what I need to pursue. This will warrant the stability and security of the finance and job.
