Case Synopsis and Problem
The main problem addressed in the case study is organizational behavior and performance review from the management. There is a need to change the performance management system to address the diverse issues arising. One of the apparent problems is that the system is one-sided, and there is a lack of organizational culture and strategic approach to the challenges being addressed. Many issues are being experienced within the company. There was less motivation among the employees, although there was a strategy that would enhance the company's competitive environment. There was a reduction in the workforce in order to attain the target reduction. The goal was to ensure that the fixed number was achieved, although people were disregarded. While this was a critical approach, it was also essential to cultivate a spirit of teamwork and collaboration. There was no engagement of key management personnel in drafting the new policies. There was a unilateral top-down approach that disregarded feedback from others. These are the main problems that can be seen in the case study. We see that the manager has ignored the organization's essential aspects, which leads to negative impacts and limits the company growth.
Key Management Issues
One of the management issues is the lack of collaboration and teamwork within the organization. This is the leading cause of complications within the organization, further complicated by the inadequate supervision approach.
