Marketing Segmentation and Targeting
Our device intended to check for cleanliness and overall quality of water bottles is expected to be in a market that it can penetrate easily. In the US, there are sectors like the hospitality industry and the education sector that uses bottled water in massive portions. Within the hospitality sector, there are hotels, tourism locations, and general places for adventure. The education sector, on the other hand, has colleges, universities, and education seminars that tend to use bottled water most of the time (Camilleri, 2018). It is for that reason that this device that is meant for checking cleanliness in water would be segmented through the hospitality and the education sector.
Hospitality Sector
The hospitality sector is an industry that is proliferating in the United States. There are many hotels, restaurants, and tourist destinations that are visited by Americans and non-citizens of America throughout the year. It is important to note that bottled water is taken at all seasons as the body requires water. Restaurants and hotels would be a good market for our device. To get to the restaurants and hotels, our group will have to select two group members that will pitch the idea to restaurant and hotel management. The chosen group members will travel with the gadget and show how it can be used.
