Amazon was found by Jeffrey Bezos and is one of the most valuable brands in the world. The company started as an online books retailer in 1994 and later expanded to include a myriad of products sold online, such as clothing in 2002, and Kindle in 2008.
Amazon was able to fend off competitors through cloud computing application. AWS launched services like Elastic Cloud Computing (EC2) that provides flexible computing power, and Simple Storage Services (S3), providing developers rent storage capacity they require on Amazon servers owned by the company. The company allowed developers to avoid fixed costs in managing personal data centers by operating on a pay-as-you-go basis.
According to Amazon’s elect CEO, Andy Jassy, patience is crucial in business management. To build relations with hardware companies and software companies, Amazon invested more than 10 years before getting returns. Goals are also crucial essential in business management for long-term success. Although AWS was criticized, it remained focused and has maximized its profitability. These are essential elements that can warrant success in Big Data management.
The future of the Service Storage Providers (SPP) market has much potential to grow. Different individuals and organizations depend on SSP for storage space, backups, and data management. The different cloud services present in market offer services based on the needs of clients.
