Soccer is not always about winning or losing; rather, it is all about teamwork and having fun. I do not count it a loss for not winning the tournament. The critical thing is to be grateful for the opportunity to play and have fun. However, it was an unfortunate occurrence that allowed us to do more. This is a chance to improve our tactics and change our way of doing things. When called upon to wake up at 4:00 a.m. for practice, I will always be available to lead by example, and so should every one of you. Being too good at your game does not justify any excuse for evading practice sessions.
Michael Jordan once said that talent wins games, but teamwork wins championships. The first step in acquiring collaboration is by establishing trust with one another. Being the team captain and being the best in what I do does not mean that the team is excellent. It is by combining the efforts that make us good at what we do. We mainly lost the game because some of us were only playing for themselves. Teamwork means putting one's self on the line for the others and having confidence for the team. This will not only reduce pressure off individuality but will also be fun. None of us, including me, can ever do great things. But we can all do small things, with great love, and together we can do exploits.
