Leadership Characteristics
Vision is one of the characters that all leaders must-have. A leader should be able to see the future and have a strategic plan to take an organization to the next stage. Every leader should be the dream carrier in showing employees and those following how to attain goals in the shortest time possible. Furthermore, a leader should always have the best ideas to be emulated by employees. Courage is the other quality that every leader should have. Courage means that a leader can accommodate risk in the attainment of goals without assurance of success. Integrity falls in line as another essential characteristic that a leader should have (Limbare, 2012). Integrity means that one is honest and fears nothing as there is anything to be hidden. Honesty should be in every that a leader does, no matter the size of an organization.
Jack Ma, the brains behind Alibaba Group, cuts across as one of the most courageous leaders of today. MA got rejected three times in the Hangzhou Teacher's Institute before being admitted. Besides, Ma applied for about 30 jobs but got turned down in all his applications. However, despite all the rejections and disappointment that Ma went through, he did not give up. He was courageous enough to go to the US, and when he returned to China, he started a website after learning about the internet in the US (Hunt, 2018). Steps taken by Jack Ma showed his courage to bit all odds to shine.
