Innovation in an Organization

A Media organization is one of the entities that have to move with time. As a result of technology and revolution on the internet, the public has diversified ways to get news. Therefore, it is crucial for media organizations like broadcast media to look for ways to ensure they are reaching people carefully and efficiently (Villi & Picard, 2019). Since a majority of people have smartphones with them and there is internet all over, it would be necessary for a media organization to be innovative and get to online platforms like social media, use of video conferencing for newsgathering like Skype, and Zoom. Besides, YouTube also comes in handy in ensuring there is live streaming of news as people can get information at the palm of their hands through their smartphones.

Certain people in an organization would be instrumental in ensuring innovation takes place in a media organization: the manager, human resource personnel, and technical team. The manager of a media organization would be in a better position to communicate to shareholders for the decision of innovation to be allowed. Moreover, a manager would pull resources together to facilitate any innovation that needs money, time, or any support. Besides, human resource personnel would come in handy as they would employ or obtain talent that is important in ensuring there is innovation in an organization (Thomas, 2016). Required experts can only be contacted through the human resource department.
