Comprehensive Financial Analysis Reflection

Undertaking a financial analysis for Amazon was one of the most rewarding and intellectually challenging exercises. Through the experience, I have gained much knowledge about the basics of financial analysis, specifically understanding a company's financial future. The exercises assisted me in understanding the understand Amazon strategy and how it has leveraged technology and cutting-edge innovations to enhance value and expand its market reach. Moreover, Amazon is committed to exploring new markets through acquisitions and diversification into other sectors in the market. The analysis included a diverse component that focused on different aspects of the company. As I undertook the analysis, I found that Amazon is one of the most stable companies because of its unique strategy.

The most manageable components to develop were the fundamental analysis components. These entailed understanding the business goals and strategies for the different units. Moreover, the aspect also included determining the investments in different areas and how they support the proposed strategies. Another critical aspect addressed was the evaluation of the strategic effectiveness of each business unit and how the market is in terms of competitors. The components were easy to develop because they considered basic information outlined in the company financial reports (Piper, 2011). There was a minimal analysis of financial figures required for these two components.

On the other hand, the hardest components to develop in this financial analysis were steps 5 and 6.
