This article covers competition between the two companies by making a comparison in key areas that are seen in SWOT. Walmart is ranked as the number one company but still has some weaknesses. This article talks of the company’s strengths, weakness and opportunities that will make it greater. As for Target, they are the immediate competitors of Walmart. This article explains the SWOT and discovers the strengths, opportunities, threats and weakness the company has over Walmart.

Based on my own experience, Target has cleaned and organized store which is much easier to find anything you are looking for when you visit there (Brechner, 2017)

. Also, it has the latest brands of clothes that are designed with well-known designers together with competent staff. This qualifies Target to be more competitive.

The major weakness that target has compared to Walmart is that they are all based in the United States. This limits them from online marketing and shopping since they have about half as many stores that Walmart has (Brechner, 2017). This also limits the target growth for the company since it can only compete within the United States market.

Based on my analysis, Growth is the most important opportunity Target has more competitive with Walmart. If Target could expand past the U.S to other serious competitive markets, this will make it more competitive and open more opportunities (Hamilton, 2015).
