The Budweiser for a long period has been referred to as “the beer of kings” since the 16th century. Despite the competition from other brands, Budweis has thrived always and made relevant marketing efforts to enable its brand to stand tall. This has been achieved through massive advertisements in such platforms as the motorsports. Other strategies include sponsorships to other brands to make their brand sell even more. A survey by IBIS World (2019), under breweries in Canada 2019 shows that Budweiser commands about 16.5 % of the market share in the Canadian breweries industry as of October 2019. This is a large percentage and makes it among the largest in the industry.
In their efforts to command a large market share, the company uses retention kind of marketing where they strive towards maintaining their previous consumers. The company achieves this by ensuring the consumer expectations are met, building consumer trust and improving their customer service as per the market demands (Swain 2019). The company also boasts of its uniqueness and maturity and has been considered as one of the leaders of its brand category.
