Amazon Customer Data Analytics
Amazon has been one of the most successful e-commerce business organizations in the digital age. It is one of the organizations I recognize in terms of building its concepts of customer data dynamics and sub-concepts. For a long time, the company has utilized its customer data to improve customer experiences, recommend products and create customized promotional content. Over time, it has achieved success based on its utility of customer data analytics. Therefore, in this reflection, I will discuss some primary customer data analytics and sub-concepts that the company has utilized to maintain a competitive advantage in e-commerce.
A primary customer data analytics concept used by Amazon is segmentation. Often the organization segments the customer data based on past purchases, demographics and browsing behavior. The segmentation is designed to help customers have a better shopping experience and also offer better product promotions and recommendations (Aversa, Haefliger, Hueller & Reza, 2021). For instance, if a customer purchases books about cooking from Amazon stores, the company can recommend other related books that are within the same line (Aversa, Haefliger, Hueller & Reza, 2021). Thus, this concept has enabled most customers to remain loyal to the brand while experiencing better shopping environments. However, this is only possible due to the collected customers' big data.
Predictive modeling is also another data dynamic utilized by the company.
