Subject: PHONE OR VIDEO CONFERENCE INTERVIEW WITH DR. SHAD

Dear Dr. Shah,

Hello sir, I hope this email finds you well. I take this opportunity to congratulate you on your appointment as the Secretary of Health. I believe that, with your goodwill, many health issues bewailing our community will be addressed. I am writing to request a video or phone interview on 30th September or 1st October 2021, between 1400-1500 hrs. If you are available at any other time, kindly let me know to update my schedule. I am flexible and get your feedback on the most preferred time between the two days.

The meeting will discuss five pressing health problems in Washington: poor nutrition, physical inactivity, alcoholism, obesity, and diabetes. I am required to write a paper for my Community Health Course and firmly believe that discussing with you will reveal the health gaps and proposed programs to deal with these problems. In addition, the study will recommend ways or approaches that can assist your office in handling these problems effectively.

Washington is among the regions affected by increasing cases of lifestyle diseases. Acknowledging these challenges, I thought it was essential to organize this call to see how we can collaborate to develop evidence-based solutions for these challenges. Issues such as obesity are majorly caused by poor nutritional habits and lack of physical exercise.
