Writer`s Block

It is normal to have unproductive days; we all experience that. Writer`s block is a situation in which you have difficulty in writing, have zero ideas on what to write and you have no idea when you will get in the mood of writing. It does not exclusively happen to writers; it could be about an essay in school or leisurely read. It is inevitable and it may make you feel like you have lost touch with your creative side. Reasons for writer`s block vary but there are some common causes. It may be a case of wrong timing and the ideas within you have not developed enough to be coherently put out. It could also be that you are afraid of putting your ideas down for everyone to read and by extension putting yourself out there for criticism. Perfectionists, which are most writers really, might suffer from bad cases of writers block. This is because of their need to get everything exactly right even before penning anything down. A writer might also lack confidence in their ideas and their work. The result of this is that they never get to start writing. When it comes to criticism writers would often be their own worst critics. This holds them back from actually writing, they instead spend time comparing themselves to other established writers.
