Using Sequels in Films
When creating films, producers are expected to exercise creativity so that there is a better output eventually. The incorporation of sequels in the production process helps the producers and other creators to ensure that the film is creative and easy to understand by the target audiences. When used correctly, sequels can make films look better and interesting. This paper explores the advantages of using sequels in film production and how they are better than the original productions.
Sequels create a better understanding of character development. During the creation of films, characters are developed through the sequence of events that are portrayed. The producers have to ensure that the traits of the characters are exemplified so that they can bring out the required content of the film. Usually, the use of sequels helps to exemplify the character development more than a normal production would. For instance, the character development of Ellen Ripley’s in the movie series of aliens utilized sequels, which helped to positively develop the characters not only in the film but overall. According to critiques, the series portrayed a better understanding of the aliens and the detailed world around it (Orlov, Denis, and Ozhegov 96). It helped the audience in understanding the characters of the aliens as well as the world around them and how it had significantly developed.
