Week 13 Discussion: Reflection on Research Paper #2

The process of undertaking this research has been enriching to my critical thinking skills. One of the most interesting things I learned from my research is how school uniforms can reduce bullying and improve student behavior. Before this assignment, I mostly thought uniforms were just about appearance and rules. However, research showed that uniforms can lower peer pressure, reduce bullying related to clothing, and help students focus more on academics. This changed my perspective and helped me see uniforms as a tool that can improve the school environment in many ways.

I chose this topic because it is something many students can relate to, and it is often debated among school stakeholders. I wanted to better understand both sides of the argument and find out whether uniforms truly make a difference. Since school policies affect students daily, I felt this was an important and practical issue to explore.

My research process involved using academic databases to find peer-reviewed articles. I focused on sources that discussed student behavior, bullying, and academic performance. I took notes, compared different studies, and used the most relevant information to support my main arguments. I also made sure to organize my ideas using an outline before writing, which helped me stay focused and clear throughout the paper.
