Story Analysis
Stories have been used to teach the importance of different values in societies for a long time, and in them lie specific symbols that emphasize certain ideologies. Storytellers have perfected the art of drawing attention to a specific event that seems to emphasize the moral lesson to their stories. It is also important to understand that these stories sometimes change over time. While some are false and others are true, their roles remain the same, and the success is on the interpretation. Sometimes the relevance of stories fade over time due to various reasons, and it is also essential to understand why they do. This analysis will focus on the symbolism in the three sets of art: the vegetarian diet argument by Pythagoras, who was a philosopher and mathematician; the fairy tale of snow white and the seven dwarfs; and Tampopo, a movie that teaches the importance of food and the art within it. All of them were developed in different times, but they share symbolism. The image of a beast or boar appears in the three pieces of art, and they are interpreted in the same manner. The audience for the three stories is different, and the complexity or simplicity of the interpretation shifts. We will analyze how each interpretation fits in the stories and their relevance then and now.
