Experience With Social Media and Web 2.0
Social media and Web 2.0 allow users or subscribers to be able to create or generate their content. In this regard, they can interact with others and share ideas, follow the news, or choose what they like or dislike. I have used social media and Web 2.0 for communication and interacting with friends and family. Through social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter, I can link with friends, contribute to emerging issues, and build strong networks with people who are interested in similar issues. Social media has been a valuable asset to me because it enables me to stay updated without the need of watching mainstream news from television.
Redesigned Login Page
The section of the social media website (Facebook) that has been redesigned is the Login and Sign Up page. The page was redesigned to give people an insight into what others are discussing or main issues that are trending in social media. The news and trending topics will be based on the location of the person. At the bottom of the login page, the new design also has a slider where popular videos and photos are shown. With such information available to the potential user, there is a high possibility that someone would sign up or login in order to see what others are saying or contributing to the topic.
