Dilemma due to Tom’s Facial hair

The worry of the company is due to the beard of Tom and a decrease in sales and a bad image that the company is facing. The scenario posted indicates that there have been decreased sales from the side of Tom. The reason for that may be as a result of the image of Tom that has not been professional. In certain industries related to healthcare, workers are called upon to be neat and smartly dressed compared to sectors like those that deal with entertainment. The other concern of the company is the declining image as customers such as doctors and pharmacists perceive Tom as not being professional, making them not to buy from him (Calvasina et al., 2017). Because of Tom's facial hair, customers keep off and look for solutions where they feel there is professionalism.

The scenario provided by Tom illustrates some of the aspects that have been learned within the disciplines. For instance, Sociology is represented in the scenario presented by Tom as the society is what is complaining of how the appearance of Tom is. Yet, he is in a respectable field of healthcare (Gurung et al., 2018). Moreover, Psychology is also represented as Tom's behavior because his facial hair may bring about certain thoughts to people as a result of the industry that he works for.
