Northlight School

The organization I will study is the Northlight school. This organization has a promising practice because it has a Good Progress Award program that pays the top ten performing students $150 each, as compared to over 90% of Singapore schools which do not have such plans. The promising practice motivate the students to put more emphasis on their studies so that they can achieve the required level of expertise. The promising practice investigated is related to the lager problem of low motivations witnessed among less academically inclined students globally.

The Northlight school was solely established to give students who are not academically inclined, more hope and success in their future. Singapore is one of the nations across the globe to develop a school which focuses on giving the students more practical experiences rather than the book works. Some would refer to this school as a particular school, but this is not the case, as the children admitted into this school are not physically challenged. The institution boasts of encouraging sports and games to sharpen the treatment of their leaners. It is worth mentioning that a child might be talent in the physical sports, and not in the academic stuff, so it is upon the parents and teachers in charge to model such skills (Elegbe, 2016). Instead of shaming the students for their academic failures, it is worth focusing on the potentials of such students with regards to sports and other co-curricular activities.
