Mobile Technologies, Search Engine Optimization, and Data Mashups in Modern Web Architecture

Overview

This paper explains three fundamental concepts in modern web technology: how crawler search engines systematically index web content through automated scripts, the impact of mobile device adoption on search engine optimization practices and user experience, and how data mashups leverage existing information to create new business intelligence and organizational insights.

Explain the concept of crawler search engine

There are a variety of names tied to this technology, and they include spiders or bots, popularly known as robots. These are scripts that systematically skim through a website page to ensure that all links appearing on the page are added to a search engine database (Shemshadi, Sheng & Qin, 2016). The scripts work automatically, and they create indexes for all the links and associated external links for them to be added to a search engine index. When visiting a browser, it is common for the links on a web page to be highlighted, and a crawler is a feature that validates this process.

How has the utilization of mobile technologies impacted search engine optimization Practices

The adoption and usage of mobile devices have grown exponentially, and the market has become bigger. This factor is attributed to the functionality of mobile devices. Many mobile device making companies have incorporated features of computer devices to ensure that their customers get the best experience. One determining feature is the ability of websites to appear in mobile format. While it is common for search engines to work optimally in computer devices, user experience in mobile devices is enhanced if there are no downtimes when waiting for the pages to load.
