The Maverick Film

With regards to European and North American economies, creative art industries are one of the fastest-growing. Innovation is one of the critical factors these industries depend on due to inherent tensions. Maverick, a popular comedy film aired in the United States, is an American film, which William Goldman wrote and directed by Richard Donner. The plot of Maverick presents Bret Maverick, a gambler from American Old West, on his way to a popular poker tournament. The poker tournament is being held in Lauren Belle on a paddle steamer. As a strategy, Maverick wants to earn recognition as one of the best poker players of his time despite facing difficulty in raising the entry tournament fee. The tournament's set entry fee was $25000, and Maverick had managed to accumulate only $3000. Determined to participate in this poker tournament, Maverick heads to Crystal River, a town where he hopes to manage and collect debts for participating in the tournament. Maverick, surprisingly, runs into an impromptu poker game where they encounter other gamblers (Forshaw 135-137). The Mavericks make winnings from Angel, a gambler, but has to flee without having his winnings.

Maverick being a mischievous character, had managed to trick Angel and escaped. Through a telegram notification, Angel is notified to stop Maverick on his tracks, but Maverick had already managed to flee eagerly, waiting to participate in the oncoming poker tournament. Maverick recovered $23000 and immediately found his way to the Lauren Belle.
