Factors That Affect My Daily Food Choices

The state of human health is predominantly a faction of food choices that an individual makes every day. My daily food choices are mostly affected by cultural influences, time, and cost. My cultural background affects my daily food choices. I have been used to ordering pizza at home when I feel hungry. This faction is coupled with my parents indulging my appetite for chocolate, cookies, and cakes. These and other food items can lead to overweight and increased blood sugar levels (Zimmerman, 2012). I will ensure to take them on moderated levels, such as having a pizza once a week and avoiding sugary food, such as chocolates.

Secondly, the cost of food affects my daily food choices. At times, having something like fish, tuna, and other healthy meals can be costly. Therefore, I am forced to go for cheaper options, such as Curly Fries and corn dogs, all of which are junk foods and very unhealthy (Blackstone et al., 2018). One of the changes I can make to avoid these cheap and unhealthy foods is to ensure I opt for a greens and vegetable diet to quickly and cheaply cook at home.

Lastly, time affects my daily choice of food. At times, I may hurry to get to work and have no time to cook a healthy breakfast.
