The discussion outlines the key points and approaches that can enhance care provision for the patient. There are many issues that nurses must be aware of in order to address all concerns of patient with such conditions comprehensively. In order to provide appropriate care, it is important to understand the social and economic background of the patient. This will help the caregiver establish cultural attitudes and other underlying issues that contribute to drinking and cocaine use. Moreover, through the interrogation, the nursing practitioner can understand the mental health issues that the patient is suffering from (Cultural Competence, n.d.).
The question is comprehensive, covering all the essential issues that will allow the nurse practitioner to offer appropriate care. Another critical aspect of culturally competent care is appreciating the patient's concerns, communicating effectively, and interacting with other stakeholders involved in the process. The aim is to ensure that AG receives an evidence-based care process that will enhance health outcomes. I also appreciate that you want to explore additional areas, especially sleep patterns, appetite, diet, and mood. All these can give insights into whether the patient has any mental condition or not. If there is no understanding of the underlying issues, it is impossible to deliver culturally competent care (Guerrero & Andrews, 2011).
Weight is another important indicator of a person's wellbeing. In order to offer comprehensive care, it is essential to address the diverse issues related to poor health outcomes, ensuring that patient issues are addressed.
