Vegetation Distribution, Animal Communication Limitations, and Machine Learning Applications
Overview
This document is a homework exercise comprising multiple disconnected sections. Part I discusses global vegetation patterns, contrasts animal communication limitations with human language capabilities, and introduces machine learning as an emerging field in computer science. Part II defines key terms related to Wall Street culture and briefly analyzes Zeno's paradox as depicted in two unspecified sources.
What this coursework covers
- Vegetation distribution across Earth's diverse ecosystems and habitats
- Limitations of animal communication systems compared to human adaptive language
- Overview of machine learning versus artificial intelligence in computational methods
- Terminology exercise defining business culture terms and concepts
- Analysis of Zeno's paradox in comparative philosophical texts

Exercise 4.2
- Vegetation covers the earth except areas covered by ice to scorched by heat. Plants grow in fertilized plains and river valleys. The edge of perpetual snow are areas where plant can also grow. The is dense vegetation in swamps, ocean edges, and around lakes. There are also many plants found in cracks of busy city sidewalks and barren cliffs. Before human existed, the earth was covered with vegetation and vegetation will continue to exist long after the evolutionary history swallows us up.
- Animals lack the power to create and communicate a new message to fit a new experience. The genetic codes limit the number and kind of messages animals can communicate. For example, bees can only communicate about distance, direction, source, and richness of pollen flowers. The characteristic of animal communication is having a limited repertoire of messages that are passed across generations.
- Machine learning has emerged as a popular subfield in computer science. Mathematical model is utilized to assist computers perform better on assigned tasks is popular in the subfield. Artificial intelligence, though old, is different from machine learning because it focuses on modelling abstract intelligence than applying adaptive computational methods. Therefore, businesses have expressed their interest in machine learning.
Exercise 3.6
Working -used to present the state of working as a Wall Street Banker.
