SYNOPSIS

Holden, a wild and menacing 12-year-old boy, is curious and intensely interested in animals. Holden and his parents Norah and Travis, visit an amusement park where Holden and Norah ride on a carnival swing ride. Holden disappears at the end of his second ride and

Travis and Norah cannot find him. When Holden disappears, it happens that he has

been kidnapped by Fletcher, who shaves his hair and changes his clothes. The child abductor, Fletcher, assaults and molests Holden and did not intend to let him go any time soon. Holden is motivated by the clip of his mother crying with hopes of finding him. He attempts to escape several times, but Fletcher always catches up with him. Holden further tries to kill himself with a gun, irritated by his situation away from his family. Holden grows up in Fletcher’s custody, and his parents are left with little or no hope of ever finding him. Holden finds a random friend Cody who he lures at the bus stop into abduction by Fletcher.
