Applicant Questionnaire

Being a professional healthcare worker with a background in administration and clinical practice, I would be keen to work with Western Medical Enterprises by applying my administrative, collaboration, and ethical decision-making capabilities. This self-reflection concentrates on the experiences that correspond to the exemplary healthcare leadership practices, based on the academic knowledge of transformational leadership and ethics models. In discussing these examples, I show that I can transfer the personal core values, such as integrity, empathy, and innovation, to the concerns of the profession and that, in the end, I can positively impact the dynamics of the team and patient care.

Part 1: Experience in Leadership and Collaboration

In my experience as a department coordinator at a local hospital, my team was a multidisciplinary team, which was required to roll out a telehealth program in case of the COVID-19 pandemic. It consisted of 12 individuals, including nurses, physicians, IT experts, and administrators. The program was meant to minimize the in-person visits for non-emergency consultations and continuity of care during lockdowns. The program received preliminary opposition because of technological hindrance, but it ended up having a 40 percent growth in patient access within six months.

Examining my leadership approach, the shared team vision was to improve equitable healthcare provision, in line with the principles of transformational leadership, which focuses on motivating followers towards the shared objective (Al-Thawabiya et al., 2023).
