The Inauguration of Joe Biden

Joe Biden was sworn in as the 46th President of the United States in a Capitol ceremony. The inaugural platform was set up by the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) on the West Front and is responsible for coordinating diverse activities involved in the inauguration with the Joint Congressional Committee on the Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC). These two bodies aim to coordinate the arrangement and ensuring that the event is successful. This year's ceremony was very different, starting from previous ceremonies. First, the pandemic's outbreak forced the organizers to allow fewer people into the tradition than usual. The goal was to reduce the number of people in the capital and ensure minimal risks.

For years, the ritual has been practiced during the inauguration ceremonies, which are regarded as part of America's political tradition. United States presidents are regarded as the most important representatives of the country's religious and social ethos. In this regard, the rites are performed to show the cultural diversity and climate of the country. The secular rituals reveal the rich diversity within the country and lead people in the right way. Citizens expect to see the President upholding the constitution and serving all people with fear or favor.

There are many things different with the ceremony. First, the ceremony was attended by very few people because of the coronavirus outbreak. Moreover, in a tense and unsettled country because of the political climate, the ceremony was also heavily guarded.
