PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CHINA
The Governmental System of the People’s Republic of China is the state authority under the political leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC). China’s political power is distributed among leading political institutions, including the state, led by the prime minister's state council (Understanding China’S Political System). All the state ministries report to the state council. The state council also presents most of the initiatives to the national people’s congress for consideration. Furthermore, the state also draws and implements plans for the economic and social development of the Nation. The National people’s congress is in charge of the supervision and the election of officials from other governmental organizations. Congress, which is the state’s supreme organ, also exercises power over basic laws and the constitution. People’s liberation army is a single political body whose primary goal is to ensure a unified form of command over China’s armed forces (Understanding China’S Political System).
The president, who acts as the head of state, exercises independent power and agrees with the national people’s congress, can nominate or remove the head of the state council, the vice-premier, and ministers in charge of ministries. The Chinese People Political Consultative Conference engages in the administration and the deliberation of state affairs. Minor political parties are answerable to the Chinese Communist Party. The heads of the minor political parties serve as the vice-chairman of the national people’s congress.
