The use of the word Latinx in describing people of Latin American descent is one that should be supported. However, it is a gender-neutral term that tends to bring equality among females and males and people who belong to the gay community. The article illustrates a broader and more intricate meaning of the use of the word to refer to gender. The use of Latinx is one step in the right direction for abolishing gender inequality among Latin America, which has been witnessed for centuries through the use of different words to describe different genders. The females have historically been described as Latinas and the males as Latinos. This discrepancy has led to the establishment of male chauvinism, where males are viewed as the more vigorous sex.

Latin American origin is mainly a male-dominated world, and women are seen as inferior compared to the males. Therefore, the use of Latinx will neutralize the inequality, and people can describe themselves as one(Nuño-Pérez, and Aviles). This word hence has a significance in establishing unity among Latin America. The name unites both genders since they can air out there issues as one and not worry about being a different gender or group in the community. The use of Latinx will also bring more value to the financial world in the US since both males, females will be given equal opportunities, and masculinity will not be valued over feminism in workplaces.
