Abstract

Background: Medical researchers tout stem cells as the significant discovery for the effective treatment of numerous health conditions in the current millennium. As a result, various scientific studies have been conducted before deciding on whether the treatment approach is the most effective. Also, medical practitioners have held debates on the creation of the most valuable stem cell type, “the embryonic form.” Subsequently, the public has raised concerns over the benefits accrued from integrating stem cell therapy in the medical procedure, and their future expectations. Healthcare practitioners have teamed teamed in providing a feasible account of the of the stem cell research current state.

Objective: The systematic review of the literature examines the use of the stem cell therapy, the specific change it has made in the healthcare system, the benefits accrued with stem cell therapy, its limitations, and future expectations of the treatment process. Furthermore, it discusses the cells types already identified and the ethical and political pitfalls contributed by their use.
