According to Sun's article, the discussion has focused on the importance of traditional vernacular dwellings within China in the fight against climate change. From the article, the author has presented an argument in which they state that the traditional Chinese dwellings have explicitly been developed in response to clime change whereby the ideas involve the use of material to build and techniques which are friendly to the weather patterns which are changing.
By analyzing traditional Chinese dwellings and the local climate, the article further highlights the significance attached to the comprehension of Chinese architecture, which is a part of the nation's cultural heritage. Notably, the article's conclusions state that traditional Chinese vernacular dwellings must be recognized in line with their cultural significance and unique design. Furthermore, with the modernization of traditional dwellings have been left out, which has been a cause of climate change. Sun argues that traditional Chinese architecture presented lessons important for sustainable building practices.
