Relationship Formation Via Physical Attraction
Physical attraction is a common and natural component in forming relationships. Usually, it entails individuals’ initial interest in each other based on their physical appearance. Physical attraction is influential in the early stages of a relationship. However, it is essential to note that it is just one aspect and should not be the sole foundation for a partnership.
CONCEPT DESCRIPTION: Physical attraction is an aspect of a human being that entails how much one is aesthetically attracted to another. There are three primary types of attractions as defined by researchers; task, social and physical. Social attraction relates to an individual’s emotional and personal relations with others. Task attraction entails people’s compatibility in accomplishing specific goals and objectives in life. In contrast, physical attraction defines how much an individual is related to another through visual and sensory appeals.
PERSONAL EXAMPLE: every individual has a personal experience relating to relationships and attraction. My experience I had an encounter when I met someone at a social gathering. The physical features of the individual attracted me. They had tall stature, expressive eyes, and radiant smile. Also, he was well-groomed, which made him particularly attractive to me. In retrospect, I was tempted to approach him and converse with him. From this attraction, I was able to create a new friend and an individual with whom we had more connections at a personal level, including accomplishing goals and objectives together in life.
