Based upon what you heard in Grand City, and what you have read:

  1. What would you do if you have to dismiss a teacher?

Before dismissing any teacher from the workplace, I would consider several factors. One, I would first determine whether the reasons for dismissal are justifiable. All teachers have their rights, and the law does not allow unreasonable dismissal form the workplace (Osler & Starkey, 2017). The US discrimination act of 1963 protects the educators from harassments and threats of expulsion from their employers (Mishra & Mishra, 2015). I would, therefore, follow the due process clause as per the 14th American constitutional amendment when dismissing a teacher. Immoral conduct, fraudulent activities and incompetence at the workplace would be among the top leading causes of dishing a teacher from the workplace. It is also crucial to have a thorough discussion with the teacher and to inform his/her of the dismissal decision.

  1. Would you worry about legal and contractual issues? Why or why not

Yes, when dismissing a teacher from the workplace, I would worry about the legal and contractual matters. This is because as said before, teachers, just like other workers in America, are protected by the law (Knapp, Crystal & Prince, 2019). The breach of contract laws would therefore, take effect if I (the employer) go against the agreements that I have signed with the teacher.
