Autobiography

My name is [Insert_Name]. I was born in Huanuco, Peru, in 1990 to Walter Grandez and Luz Bertha Tiburcio Alcedo. I grew up in Pucallpa, where I developed a deep love for sports, including running, swimming, and basketball. I had a happy and normal childhood although my parents were not wealthy. As I grew up, I invested much time in playing basketball. Through resilience and consistent practice, I was selected to join the school team. The coach assisted me to learn the basics. After impressive performances in the school team, I was called to join the National Basketball Team in Pucallpa, winning several tournaments with my colleagues. I applied for the Leoncio Prado Military School in Lima at age 14. It was always my desire to join the Peruvian Air Force and joining the military school would increase my chances.

I moved to Lima to prepare physically and academically for the entrance exams. This was my first life-changing challenge. In March 20004, I was elated to learn that I had earned me a place in the school. I remained an active member of the soccer, track, and field basketball teams. We made numerous achievements with the team, including numerous individual recognitions. However, due to the financial inability in our family, I was forced to leave the school two years after joining.
