Nutrition Discussion

Eating healthy is essential for holistic and proper development of the body and its organs. The wellbeing of an individual is usually determined by the type of food he or she consumes. Whatever an individual consumer is what determines how his or her body will function. When the meals consumed have a proper balance of nutrients and substances, they lead to the proper functioning of the body. Even without knowing the ingredients, Holly was not taking healthy meals before the snacks. The quesadillas are quick meals that are not a balanced diet. The flour within tortillas increases the number of carbohydrates.

Moreover, adding cheese into the meal also increases the fat composition and very high composition of cholesterol. This is dangerous for the heart and can increase the pressure of the body. The preparation method reduced fiber and increased the amount of fat and cholesterol. In order to increase the fiber in the Quesadillas, Holly would prepare the dinner using chopped onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and use whole-wheat tortillas. This is because whole wheat has much fiber and will compensate for the number of fats in the quesadillas. Cookies are known to have many calories because of the ingredients used during preparation.

The primary source of the many calories in the cookies is the increased number of processed ingredients. These are dangerous and can harm an individual’s wellbeing. Additionally, there are processed fats, hydrogenated oils, and trans fats, which are known to be dangerous for the body.
