Moral Courage
Part A:
The primary objectives of mora courage are to help people address ethical issues in the right manner. Additionally, it also entails the courage to speak even when there are forces shutting you down. I have known Mr. Malik for more than ten years; he is a fierce talking guy and never fails to address the truth even when it is hard to. Five years ago, he overcame the challenge of addressing juvenile delinquency, which involves underage convicts. To some extent, as an advocate, Malik felt low due to the high rates of underage convicts. However, I stood up and convicted his nephew for murder and drug trafficking, and it was not an easy decision, but it was ethical. It is the act of moral courage that defies all odds and sides with truth, not just to protect the family but also to be a role model to other generations. Every action has its consequences, and it does not matter whether it is right or not. By convicting his nephew, he lost friends and some family members to some extent described as a snitch. Having a moral code is not easy, and it takes guts and wisdom to handle it (Hannah, Avolio, & May, 2011).
Part B
Mentors are transformed leaders, and they engage in having a positive impact on people’s behavior.
