Human behavior is defined as an assortment of actions human beings exhibit during various stages of development. Every society requires the people living in it to shun away from negative behavior. Various factors determine human behavior such as coercion, nudges, pressure or it can be premeditated.[1] The different factors that affect human behavior include a society’s ethics, social norms, culture, genetics, perceptions and attitudes.[2] Various scholars have subjected human behavior to study across the years such as John B. Watson and B.F Skinner.[3] These behaviorists argued that human behavior is learned following an interaction between the individual and the environment. Human behavior can thus be used in forming an individual’s identity.[4] Changing human behavior is a difficult undertaking. This arises from the fact that unconscious processes drive a substantial amount of human behavior; this makes most of the human behavior become part of their habits. Moreover, and the environment through consequences and associations shapes human behavior. Many people sticking to their old habits and decide to behave conservatively without finding a need to try something new.
Conflicts are an integral part of human life. Conflict is a result of behaviors.[5] Interaction between people is bound to bring about conflicts. Conflicts arise due to differences in interest between opposing groups as each group tries to gain the approval of its views over others.
