Delivery Outline: Mental Health

Good morning everyone! I would like to briefly address mental health: what it means and how it affects our general wellbeing. Mental health refers to a state of mental wellbeing or the absence of any mental health disorder that would otherwise impede an individual's ability to cope with the stresses of life, achieve their potential, and contribute to their society. The steps to improving one's mental health are: (1) Socializing with other people; (2) Exercising; (3) Engaging in meaningful activities; (4) Cultivating generosity; and (5) Practicing mindfulness. Socializing with others is the first step to improving one's mental wellbeing. Connecting with other people who share the same interests can help one develop a sense of self-worth and belonging and provide them with the emotional resources to navigate challenging times. Socializing with other people allows individuals to share their positive and negative experiences.
