Introduction

I have always been a fan of professional sports since I was a kid. I have always enjoyed watching various games on ESPN, especially the NBA and the NFL. The reason I have been a life-long fan of these leagues is that I find the games engaging and captivating in a uniquely entertaining way (Sul 338). This essay requires me to write about strategies that an organization would use to attract and retain me as a fan so that I can actively watch and consume their content. From previous experiences, the game has to be interesting, engaging, and entertaining. For this essay, I chose the Major League Lacrosse because it has a league structure similar to what I’m used to in the NBA and the NFL. Strategies that can win me as a fan include sharing the history of the sport and its connection to communities, engage me online on my phone, and create meaningful charity organizational activities off the field (Maderer and Holtbrügge 415). To attract and retain me as a fan, the Major League Lacrosse will have to keep me engaged and entertained as I learn everything I need to know to understand and enjoy the game of Lacrosse.
