Advertising Ethics

Beechnut is an established food producer in the United States. Its officers were marketing adulterated juice as officials “100 percent pure.” Personally, I would argue that the organization must never continue to market the adulterated juice because despite the benefits associated, saving jobs and money. Although other companies are selling the juice, it is essential for the company to safeguard its reputation and avoid selling the impure juice. Despite the benefits in saving jobs and money for the company, the decision to continue marketing the product is unethical. It disregards the wellbeing of consumers and sells the product based on false information.

Using misleading information is illegal and can lead to numerous civil cases against the firm. Although there will be much pressure from other members of the firm, I would argue that, as an official, I have a responsibility to shun any deceptive tactics within the company. In order to avoid problems with people supporting the false advertisement, I would start looking for opportunities in other organizations (Adams, Galanes, & Hoelscher, 2021). The aim is to work for an organization that safeguards consumer interests and uphold ethical standards in food production. My support would be guaranteed if other members agree to eliminate the false information and observe the legal and ethical standards in food production.

There are many reasons why I must resist the claims from other members. As a professional, the primary duty is towards the customers.
