3. Is democracy or autocracy better for US foreign policy in the Middle East? Why?
Considering the happenings in Middle East, the US foreign policy should be autocratic. This is because proactive decisions are needed to deal with the challenges arising from terrorism. With democratic approach on foreign policy, the Islamic powers will continue to gain success. Although there have been major efforts to eliminate them, most terrorist groups are emerging with more power and aim to avenge. Therefore, having an autocratic approach to the foreign policy measures will ensure that terrorists are neutralized. It is the only approach that will guarantee victory against terrorism, especially because of continuous radicalization (Karam, n.d.).
5. Will the U.S. and its allies ever “win” the War on Terror?
There clear evidence that the United States and its allies will win the way on terror. With appropriate and strict measures against terrorist groups, there will eb gradual victory against the radicalized groups. In the past years, many terrorist group leaders have been killed. There is significant progress in the war against terror. Individuals in the political scene argue that terrorists can be engaged in the political processes. However, it is only through active military action that their activities can be destabilized. For many years, there has been significant progress in the fight against terrorism. The war against terror will be won, as long as military action is sustained (Karam, n.d.).
