Response to birthday party speech
The introduction of the speech appealed to me the most. It captures most of the things that the address is about apart from the conclusion. The presentation begins by appreciating all those who made life and everything possible. The speech starts by thanking family and friends. They are the people that come first in our lives, whether during sad or happy times. The appreciation also extends to colleagues, who we know not necessary all are proud of you. Still, he appreciates them because they have played a role in building him and managed to attend the birthday celebrations.
The introduction goes ahead to introduce to us what life has taught him. He says that there are no specific formulae to guarantee a person a long prosperous life. It is good to address your audience during your day so that they can appreciate how their lives are. Some are not happy while others are comfortable with their lives. Others are struggling and almost giving up, but by telling them that life is not the same for everyone, their hearts get encouraged.
Introducing how life treats different people during the introduction of the speech prepares the audience for the contents of the body (Bassemir et al., 2017). The introduction says there are no formulae for a prosperous life. The audience expects that the following sentences will talk about how people facing different situations in life get encouraged to push on.
