The use of marijuana should not be banned, as it helps in healing pain-related conditions. The use of marijuana has shown that it is effective more than placebos. In a circumstance where marijuana outdoes other drugs, then it is evident that the use of marijuana among populations should not be banned. However, to another extent, the use of marijuana should be banned as its use among adolescents has shown that the use of the drug leads to an increased urge to engage in abusing drugs in later life (Pacula et al. 405). Since research has shown that marijuana spoils the life of young ones, then its use should be banned. There is no importance of using a substance that would be harmful in the future.
The use of firearms in learning institutions should not be banned. Firearms in learning institutions help in self-defense for teachers and the entire population. Looking at the case of Jacques Dshawan, who got into Texas and A & M University and shot the girlfriend, the issue would have been avoided if teachers were around and armed. However, firearms in educational institutions should be banned as teachers and students may misuse them (Rogers et al. 262). If there is a disagreement between students, then one who has a firearm would grab it and shoot the other. Such a circumstance explains why firearms should be banned in institutions of learning.
