Suppose you have to provide power to a tram car that receives single phase ac power from the 230V line. The components that are to be powered are as follows:

a) DC series motor for tram driving, voltage rating 183 V dc, current rating 10A.

b) Ac fans voltage rating 455 V, number of fan is 6, 2 A each.

c) Lights 218 V, number of lights 6, 100 W each.

d) Head light 190 V dc fixed.

Construct the control circuit and calculate the firing delay and on-off periods for ac controllers (if applicable). Suggest any improvement of the system regarding power conversion.
