Part I: Labour Market Research

Then research and answer the following questions as related only to your current program of study with Robertson College. Download and complete the chart below; make sure to include direct web links for each response to support your findings.
What is the region (community/area) you reside in?
What is your occupation’s NOC code? (NOC stands for National Occupation Code)
What are the low, median and high wage ranges for your chosen occupation specific to your region?
What is the job outlook for your chosen occupation in your region? The job outlook can be Undetermined, Limited, Fair, or Good.
What considerations must you make when searching for employment in the next 6 months? For example, child care arrangements, transit, carpooling, distance you’re willing to travel, accommodations (health), etc.
Using the LMI Explore (Beta) opens in new window, enter your NOC code, your town/city, and click Explore. Hover over the flashing red dot for your chosen city/town, and refer to the pop-up screen. At the bottom of the pop-up, there is a heading “LMI news from this region”. Click on the link to the available headlines, and choose one headline that is potentially related to your chosen occupation/program of study.

Part 2: Labour Market Research
Taking into consideration all of the information you researched in Part 1 of this project, conduct a search for companies you are interested in working for as related to your chosen occupation. Narrow your choice down to one. For the company of your choice, complete the following:
Identify their mission/vision statement.
Describe why you want to do you want to work for this company.
Explain how their values align with the company’s values.
