  • Word format only. Do not submit in pdf format.
  • Include page numbers.
  • Adhere to a recognized writing style for formatting citations throughout the paper, and the bibliography.
  • Your Research Paper will contain the following:
  • Title Page: This should contain paper title, course/section number, your name, professor’s name, and the date.
  • Abstract: An abstract provides a summary of the main points and purpose of the paper.
  • Introduction: The introduction introduces the topic and provides a brief background. The introduction also includes research questions and/or the hypotheses.
  • Main body: The body is the information. It will include your research findings, any methods used, discussions related to the research, and the results.
    • Please use appropriate titles, headings, and subheadings for transition and organization.
  • Conclusion: The conclusion will be a summary of your findings, results, and limitations you experienced, that summarizes the findings, consequences, etc., related to your research.
  • Bibliography

  • Have clear topics introducing the subject matter being discussed.
  • YOU NEED A MINIMUM OF THREE SOURCES IN ADDITION TO ANY INFORMATION USED FROM THE TEXTBOOK.
  1. The title page, table of contents (if you decide to include one), and bibliography DO NOT count toward the required page total. Your abstract does not count as one complete page.
  1. Grading: Among other things, your paper will be graded partially for its substance, the information used from the sources cited, and the quality of content in your paper.
  1. Point Deductions: Among other things, points will be deducted for the following:
  2. Misspelled words, incorrect use of words, missing or incorrect use of commas (colons, semi-colons, apostrophes, etc.).
  3. Incorrect syntax (sentence structure).
  4. Obvious overuse of small paragraphs (as a means of taking-up space and filling-up the page), and obvious creation of space (as a means of taking-up space and filling-up the page).
  5. Ten (10) points will be deducted for every page not completed. Keep in mind, this paper is a required four-page minimum. So, for example, if you only submit 2 pages, twenty (20) points will automatically be deducted; ten points for each missing page.
